Abstract
India has accepted free market economy in 1994 without any preparation to meet the challenges of competitive economy. Waters have flown below the bridge and we are left with no alternative. We have to be qualitatively productive in the industrial, agricultural and social sector taking recourse to the advanced technologies. We do require investments for the required infrastructure to promote industrial and agricultural development. To that extent huge investments are unavoidable. However, to tackle the problems of poverty, unemployment and hunger, we shall have to depend on our natural resources as modern computerized digitally controlled industries have their limitations in generating jobs to millions of our masses.
