Abstract
The project was initiated with a foundational reading of articles on behavioral science research. For deciding the research statement, ten topics were proposed, and then critically examined with respect to relevance and feasibility. Finally, the research statement was decided as “To identify the factors that motivated PGP 2 students to choose their respective specialization.” Specialization was defined here to be the “primary area of interest” specified by the PGP 2 students on their CVs; and the project was undertaken with the assumption that the students are conscious about the factors that influenced them to take up their choice of specialization.
