Abstract
The market research project was conducted for Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting (WCCLG) Ltd., one of India’s top and fastest growing FMCG company. The project aimed to solve the problems faced by WCCLG with regards to two of its products - washing powder and fabric conditioner. The first one being “Safewash”, a liquid detergent and the second being “Softouch”, the new fabric conditioner in Wipro’s portfolio. The management objectives the company provided are as follows: 1) The company aims to increase sales of its liquid detergent - Safewash, keeping in mind the major players in liquid detergent industry - Surf Excel and Ezee. 2) The company aims to increase sales of its fabric conditioner - Softouch, which gets misattributed by the consumers with a competitor’s product - Comfort The management objectives were further categorized into various research objectives to ensure clarity and proper structure to the research process.
