Abstract

After seeing Indian film makers at film festival in Nigeria, Mr. John decides a make an Indian film. This case is cusses about Mr. Johns effort to hire a consultant to understand the film industry, its market and characteristics of film viewers in India. It concludes with question: what were the actions that made Mr. John to make right move ? . Ganes Pandya and TAPMI - PGDM students of batch 2015 -17 wrote this case as part of the students ’project in Business Statistics course. The case is developed based on classroom discussions. The authors do not intend to illustrate either effective or ineffective handling of a managerial situation. The authors have disguised certain names and other information to protect confidentiality
