Abstract
BrandScan,the annual market research event of TAPMI,Manipal conducted its 26th edition in 2018,where several live projects from some of the most coveted companies were researched by collecting data which was further analysed using qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques. BrandScan 2018 was held in two formats–semi-urban and urban. This project was for Bombay Stock Exchange-Investor Protection Fund (BSE-IPF). The main objective of the study was the identification of effective education and communication channels to increase investor awareness across the age group of 18 to 60 years and income group of more than 3 lacs annual income.The research objectives for the project were to gauge the investor’s awareness about the various channels (individual and collective) of education and information dissemination, identifying the effectiveness of communication medium about stock markets and investment classes.Additional to the research objectives,the investor’s knowledge level and risk appetite were also measured
