Abstract

Team Avengers was guided by our philosophy of generating capital growth by investing in a portfolio of fundamentally strong companies and taking positions using technical analysis or technical indicators. We were given a corpus of Rs. 1,50,000 to invest in common equity for a horizon of 4 months (starting third week of November 2018 to second week of March 2019). Trading in derivatives, commodities, foreign exchange was prohibited. The main goal of the course was investment and learning from it and not speculative trading. We believed in a systematic investment and hence liquidated the stocks as and when they reached their estimated prices or when they hit the stop loss. We used appropriate risk management strategies for our investment. There was no churning in the portfolio throughout the duration of the course. We were holding the stocks till the final week of the investment horizon.
