Abstract

The Student managed Investment Course (SMIC) is a unique course run in TAPMI. The objective of SMIC is to facilitate experiential learning by enabling students to make investment decisions in the listed equity stocks. This helps students gain a deeper understanding of the realities of financial markets and institutions. The team Stealthy Stockbrokers consists of five members. We were given a corpus of INR 1,50,000 to invest in common equity for a time horizon of approximately four months (30-112018 to 14-03-2019). The team was given certain guidelines to follow while investing. Trading in any other markets (derivatives, bond, commodities etc.) was prohibited. The guideline of the course also included that at any point in time minimum 85% of the cash should be invested in the Equity market. The fund was liquidated in the third week of March. The entire corpus was transferred to the TAPMI accounts.
